A few years ago I started making my own spice mixes. I ran out of speculaas spices and of course they were sold out. I liked this mix so much that I never bought them again and started making other mixes myself. The biggest advantage of making your own spice mix is that you can adjust the taste and that it is a lot cheaper!
I keep my spice mixes in empty used spice jars or small glass jars. This way you can store the spice mixes for months.

Italian seasoning is probably the spice blend that I use the most. I’ve never made my own, I might have to try it.
