Ingredients
Honey - the sweetness of the honey goes perfectly with the tanginess of the mustard. All types of honey will work for this recipe but adding some local honey makes it extra special.
Mustard - I recommend using Dijon mustard. This soft, yellow, creamy mustard gives you a smooth dressing and adds an amazing flavor. You could use regular or .. mustard if that's what you have.
Lemon juice - gives the dressing a little extra flavor. You could use vinegar but it wont give the dressing that fresh summer taste.
Olive oil - the best olive oil to use for salad dressing is a extra virgin olive oil but you could use any olive or sunfloweroil you have on hand.

How to make honey mustard dressing
All you need to do to make this dressing is adding all the ingredients to a small bowl and whisk it until it transforms into a smooth, slightly creamy dressing. Season it with some salt and pepper before adding it to your salad and you're done!
If your dressing is a little too thick you could add a little olive oil. Just make sure you add a little oil at a time until it has the desired thickness.
Equipment
I usually have a list of everything you need to make a recipe but because this dressing is so easy to make you only need a bowl and a spoon that's it!
What to serve with this honey mustard dressing
My absolute favorite way to use this dressing is drizzled over my spinach salad with feta and apple. The sweetness of the dresing and the apples combined with the slightly bitter spinach is je best!
The sweetness of the honey works really well with salads that contain fruit.
You could also add some to roasted Brussels sprouts, broccoli, greenbeens or as a dip with some bread.
Did you know that I used this as a base for my coleslaw dressing?
Storage
Homemade dressing or vinaigrette will keep for a long time. You can keep this honey mustard dressing in a glass jar for weeks! Just give it a little shake before adding it to your favorite salads.
