Ras el hanout is a Moroccan spice blend of ginger, turmeric, and cumin. Use this blend to marinate your meat or in a tagine.

This spice mix, like curry powder and speculaas spice mix, mainly contains warm flavors, such as cinnamon and ginger.
What is ras el hanout?
Ral es hanout is a Moroccan spice blend mainly used in flavoring meat, but this blend also goes very well with vegetarian dishes.
Ingredients
As with any spice mixture, there is no one recipe, but all mixtures are just slightly different. This is how I prefer to make it but mainly adjust the ratio to your taste.
Usually, the following ingredients are in a ras el hanout recipe:
- Cinnamon
- Coriander
- Cumin
- Cardamom
- Ginger
- Pepper
Instructions
To make this recipe, put all the spices in a bowl. Mix them well and pour them into an empty spice jar. Store them in a cool, dark place.
Equipment
You will need a small bowl, measuring cups, and an empty spice jar with a label to make and store this spice mix.
Storage
The mix will keep in a cool dark place for about a year. After that year, you can still use the mix, but the flavor will fade.
