Waldorf salad with chicken is a classic American salad with apple, celery, mayonnaise, lemon, and walnuts. I added some chicken to make it perfect for lunch.

The Waldorf salad first appeared in 1896 when the maitre d'hotel of the famous Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York, Oscar Tschirky, created this salad for a charity ball. It soon became a great success and was featured in Oscar's cookbook 'The cook book'.

Waldorf salad with chicken is a classic American salad with apple, celery, mayonnaise, lemon and walnuts. I added some chicken to make it perfect for lunch.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup (170 grams) of chicken, cooked or smoked
- ½ cup (50 grams) of walnuts, chopped
- 2 large apples
- 4 celery sticks
- 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
- 3 teaspoons of lemon juice
- Lettuce
Instructions
- Wash and dice the vegetables and dice the chicken.
- Peel and dice the apple and add to your vegetables.
- Mix everything together and serve with some lettuce.
Notes
Add some grapes to this Waldorf salad for some extra color
