Ingredients

  • 8 apples
  • ½ stick butter
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 8 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • A pinch salt

Instructions

  • Peel the apples and remove the core. Cut them into thin slices and put them in a mixing bowl.
  • Pour in the lemon juice and stir well.
  • Melt the butter in a large frying pan and add the apples.
  • Cook the apples until they soften, and add the cinnamon and the sugar.
  • Let them simmer for a few more minutes until the apples are soft and the sugar completely dissolves. This can take up to 8 minutes.
  • Add the heavy cream and let it simmer until the caramel has the desired thickness.
