Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 3 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes *optional

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a small bowl and mix them well.
  • Pour the taco seasoning into a small jar and store the spice mix in a dark place.

Notes

This recipe makes enough seasoning for four portions (about 1 lb of chicken), but you can easily half, double, or triple the recipe.
*The chili powder in this recipe is not the European ground chili peppers but the American spice blend.
