pack sieved tomatoes

large onion

cloves
garlic

tablespoon
Italian herbs

sugar

Instructions
Finely chop
the onion and garlic cloves.
Heat the
olive oil in a pan and fry the onions on low heat until soft and slightly
caramelized. This will take about 7-10 minutes.
Add the garlic, spices, and sugar and fry briefly until the garlic is also soft.
Add the strained tomatoes and simmer gently for a few minutes until the sauce is well
heated and all ingredients are mixed.
Season to taste with salt and pepper, and add a little sugar if necessary
Notes
The sugar is optional. Especially if you let the onions caramelize slowly, it is not
always necessary.
