Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick cold butter diced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 F or 180 C.
  • Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cold butter to a mixing bowl. Rub the butter into the flour with your fingers until it resembles bread crumbs, but avoid making the butter flakes too small.
  • Pour the milk, lemon zest, lemon juice, and honey into the mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  • Remove the dough from the bowl, form a disk that is ½ inch thick, and divide it into six pieces.
  • Put the scones on a parchment lined baking tray and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
