- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 1 stick cold butter diced
- ¼ cup honey
- ⅓ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
Preheat your oven to 350 F or 180 C.
Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cold butter to a mixing bowl. Rub the butter into the flour with your fingers until it resembles bread crumbs, but avoid making the butter flakes too small.
Pour the milk, lemon zest, lemon juice, and honey into the mixture and stir gently until just combined.
Remove the dough from the bowl, form a disk that is ½ inch thick, and divide it into six pieces.
Put the scones on a parchment lined baking tray and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
