  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

For the soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin or white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ inch fresh ginger

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven or air fryer to 350°F (180°C) and take the chicken wings out of the refrigerator.

Squeeze the garlic and grate the ginger.
  • Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Once it comes to a boil, turn the heat down to low and let the sauce simmer gently for about 2-5 minutes until it thickens.
  • Place the cooked chicken in a bowl and pour the sauce over it.
  • Mix everything until all the chicken wings are completely covered and sprinkle with some sesame seeds if necessary before serving.
