- 1 cucumber
- ¼ cup vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon chili vlakes or 1 fresh red pepper *optional
- 1 small onion *optional
Add the vinegar and the sugar to a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Turn down the heat and let it simmer until the sugar has dissolved.
Was the cucumber and cut it into thin slices.
Put the cucumber slices into a jar and pour over the hot vinegar.
Let it cool and let the cool cucumber sit in the fridge for a few hours before serving.
