Butter - I always use unsalted butter in my recipe unless stated otherwise. If you only have salted butter, don't add any more salt to the recipe.

Did you know it is super easy to make your own homemade butter? All you need is heavy cream and a mixer!

You can use margarine or plant-based butter for lactose-free or vegan butter.

Fresh herbs - I love using fresh herbs when I make garlic butter, but you can also use dried herbs. Dried herbs have a stronger flavor, so use about half.

Lemon juice - this gives the butter a fresh taste. You can also omit this, but it will make the herb butter milder.

You should always use freshly squeezed lemon juice the end product will taste so much better!

Finely chop the garlic and herbs and squeeze out the lemon juice. Add the herbs, lemon juice, garlic, and salt to the butter and mix until everything is well combined.
